Lori Roy was born in and grew up in Kansas. She graduated from Kansas State University, then went on to work as an accountant. It was only in her early thirties when her first child was born and she decided to stay home that Lori Roy began to write seriously.
Her first novel – Bent Road, was hugely successful winning several awards including the Edgar Alan Poe Award for best first novel by an American Author. Her second novel – Until She Comes Home is set in Detroit in the 1950s and is due for release in mid-2013.
Lori Roy currently lives in Central West Florida with her husband and two children.
