Nancy Billyeau was born in Chicago Illinois. She grew up in Michigan – attending the University of Michigan, then moved to New York and started a career as a magazine editor. She worked on magazines such as Rolling Stone, Good Housekeeping and InStyle. Billyeau also lived in Toronto for several years after she met her Canadian husband. She now lives in New York with her husband and two children.
Billyeau has always loved writing and always loved historical fiction (particularly the 16th century). But, it was her attendance at a fiction workshop after someone else dropped out that really got her going. Her first book – The Crown is set in Tudor England and her main character – Joanna Stafford is a nun at the time of the dissolution of the monasteries. Her second book – The Chalice continues with Joanna Stafford’s story. Book 3 – also featuring Joanna Stafford is now in the planning stages. Her books are incredibly popular and I hope that there are many more to come.
