Linwood Barclay was born in 1955 in Connecticut but moved to Canada with his family when he was only 4 years old.
Barclay had an interest in writing from an early age and studied literature at university. He worked at various newspapers writing columns (mostly humour) and as an editor until he finally achieved some success with his novels.
His breakthrough came in 2007 with his novel ‘No Time For Goodbye’. He is now one of Canada’s most successful novelists.
Barclay married his wife Neetha shortly after finishing university. They live in Oakville, Ontario and have two adult children.
