Daniel Cole was born in Bournemouth in the UK in 1983. His mother is a schoolteacher and his father is a mechanic. Cole has worked as a paramedic and an RSPCA officer and has just started working in the control room of the Royal National Lifeboat Institute when his first novel – Ragdoll was accepted by a publisher. Prior to that he had many rejections and unfinished manuscripts.
Cole now has a three book contract and a television deal.
His work as a paramedic has helped to shape his writing by his medical knowledge and exposure to the horrors of the world.
Daniel continues to live in Bournemouth where he attempts to stay focused on his writing.
