John Connolly Profile and Books

John Connolly was born in Dublin in 1968. He studied English at Trinity College Dublin and journalism at Dublin City University.

Before becoming a full-time writer, Connolly worked at a variety of jobs including journalist, barman, waiter, local government official and dogsbody at Harrods in London. As a full-time writer, he continues to contribute to the Irish Times Newspaper.

Connolly is best known for his series featuring the private detective Charlie Parker but he has also written standalone novels, short stories and series for young adults and teens.

John Connolly spends most of his time living in Dublin but also spends time in the United States where his Charlie Parker series is based.
